Public AI plugin privacy

This notice explains how Lawtrades, Inc. processes information through its public AI plugin for project scoping, professional discovery and optional draft continuation. It supplements the Lawtrades Privacy Policy. The anonymous plugin does not connect your Lawtrades account; the signed-in MCP connector described in that policy is a separate service.

What the plugin receives and returns

Your AI provider sends the tool inputs needed for your request, such as project requirements or professional search filters. Lawtrades returns a structured draft or a limited set of public professional profiles and listed rates to that provider. The plugin does not independently retrieve your conversation history, files, credentials, invoices or private messages.

Share only the details needed to describe the work. Leave out confidential documents, passwords, payment information and private contact details. A scoping or discovery request does not publish a project, contact a professional or create an engagement.

Continuing a draft on Lawtrades

If you ask to continue, the plugin presents the exact draft for confirmation. Preparing this confirmation temporarily stores the proposed draft and a confirmation record. Confirming creates a separate temporary record containing the approved draft and a private continuation link. The full AI conversation is not transferred by this action.

The continuation link expires after ten minutes. Anyone who has it may open the draft until it is claimed, so keep it private. The first browser that claims it can retry before expiry; other browsers cannot redeem the claimed link. Opening the Lawtrades page alone does not import the draft: you choose “Continue with my draft.”

The imported draft is initially saved in your browser as a Lawtrades conversation. Continuing that conversation, signing in or taking later actions uses the existing Lawtrades services under the Privacy Policy and AI Terms of Use. Importing alone does not publish, contact or hire anyone.

Operational information and its use

We process requests to provide the tools and requested draft transfer. For security, reliability and abuse prevention, we also record tool names, timestamps, duration, result status, a one-way hash of request inputs and a pseudonymous guest identifier. The guest identifier is derived from request network and client information; it is not a Lawtrades account connection.

Raw tool-input tracing is disabled for the public tools. Proposed and approved drafts are still stored for confirmation and continuation as described above. Infrastructure request logs can include IP addresses, user-agent information, request paths and response status. This is not a service with no data retention.

Retention

• Draft confirmation: confirmation records expire after 30 minutes. Draft continuation records stop being redeemable after ten minutes, including when already claimed.
• Operational database cleanup: scheduled cleanup runs every five minutes, deleting expired confirmation, continuation and replay-prevention records; inactive rate-limit records older than two hours; and tool audit records older than 30 days. Each run deletes a limited batch. Expiry blocks use immediately, but deletion can take longer during a backlog or outage.
• Infrastructure logs: ordinary public-service logs use a 30-day retention policy. Required cloud administrative and security audit logs use a separate 400-day policy.
• Backups: database backups retain the latest 30 backups, with seven days of point-in-time recovery history. Deleting an active record does not immediately remove backup copies; their expiry follows those backup policies, not the ten-minute link lifetime.
• After import: deleting the temporary transfer record does not delete a conversation already imported into your browser or information held by your AI provider. Use the controls described below for those copies.

Who processes the information

Your chosen AI provider receives the tool results and processes its conversation under its own terms, privacy policy and settings. These public plugin tools do not call a separate Lawtrades AI model to scope, search or create a continuation link. If you later send a message in Lawtrades AI, the processing described in the company Privacy Policy applies.

Lawtrades uses infrastructure providers, including Google Cloud for the public endpoint and its operational database, to operate and secure the service. Opening a continuation link also involves our website and redirect hosting providers, which receive normal request metadata. The private link capability is placed in the browser fragment rather than the request query, and the draft text is not placed in the URL.

The plugin does not distribute your request or draft to professionals. You decide whether to take a later step on Lawtrades. Other disclosures, including legally required disclosures, are described in the company Privacy Policy.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can use discovery without creating a continuation link, decline the draft confirmation, or choose “Open Lawtrades without importing.” Stop using or remove the plugin in your AI provider’s settings to stop future tool requests; removal does not erase records already created.

You can delete an imported conversation using Lawtrades conversation controls or clear Lawtrades site storage to remove browser-local copies. If you continued the conversation using other Lawtrades services, contact us about those records as well. Use your AI provider’s own controls for its conversation and tool-result copies.

For access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions, contact help@lawtrades.com. Include the approximate time and type of request; do not email a private continuation link or confidential project details. Because the plugin is anonymous, we may need limited additional information to locate and verify a request. Backup retention and applicable legal obligations may limit immediate deletion.
