For small-business clients using the Project scope flow in Lawtrades Agent.
Describe the work
- Open a new conversation in Lawtrades Agent.
- Describe the legal work you need, the outcome, and any deadline.
- Answer the follow-up questions so the Project scope contains the necessary details.
Review the scope
For fixed-fee work, each hire earns the stated fee; it is not a budget split between lawyers. Review the cost breakdown in your own scope before publishing. The fee and scope become locked after the first application or hire request.
- Read the Project scope card, including its deliverables and budget or Fixed fee per hire.
- Use Edit scope to correct it. If you have newer unsaved edits, choose Review & save scope.
- Complete any details marked Needs your input.
- Review the saved scope again before publishing.
Publish when ready
Publishing makes the scope and budget or fee available on the jobs board and sends opportunity alerts. Review the publication notice before continuing.
- Select Publish & find lawyers when the scope is ready.
- Wait for the publication result. Check that the Project is published before treating it as available to candidates.
- Open the Project’s Candidates tab to review applications and recommendations.
If publishing is unavailable
Save your edits and answer any outstanding scope questions. Use Retry scope review if a review error appears. If it still cannot complete, contact support with the Project name and error.
Write a brief someone can act on
Describe the work to be done, the deliverable you need, your deadline, and the experience or jurisdiction that matters. Include relevant constraints and say what a successful result looks like.
Example: “Review our vendor agreement and return a marked-up draft by Friday. Focus on the data-processing terms and explain any open decisions.” Replace the details with your actual needs.
